Absent kitty....

Eeek well that time flew by, bad kitty! Old habits die hard! I've been busy though....crocheting, knitting, lots of gardening , reading and amusing my 3yr old ! Here's just a few pics to prove it! .....I've mastered sock knitting!!!!

Busy Bee

Well I've been seriously busy of late, lots of projects whirling around by head and not enough time to make them all or Blog about any of them ... until now! First of all Ive started a granny-stripe blanket which is seriously therapeutic and enjoyable, also obsessed with crochet cowls, just made one for Bubba this morning and remaking one that I made last night after deciding that I preferred the look of Mikes cowl to mine . And as for socks...I'm psyching myself up to mastering DPN's ( douple pointed needles) and knitting some socks! But after visiting my LYS ( local yarn shop) and buying some gorgeous variegated yarns and my fave "Sirdar" yarns I'm thinking more hats and cowls may come first 

Crochet Granny Bunting Unveil!

At long last my bunting is hung from my mantle and everything looks so cheerful! Sooooo happy with how this worked out. Rico creative cotton is wonderful stuff! Thanks to Alice from Crochet with Raymonds blog for the pattern! X

Twit Twoo !

Crochet Owl iPhone case, my own design and I'm ridiculously happy with it! Kool Kotton Dk yarn with 3.50 made in the round. The eyes and beak are crocheted with embroidery floss and a 2mm tiny hook. 

Bag unveil!

My extra big Kool Kotton yarn bag! inspired from the yarn bag on Attic24 but with an Allie Cat twist! Makes me think of flower bulbs and Chinese flying lanterns. Extra large in order to accommodate an upcoming Blanket project... Watch this space ! But first, I need to make a case for my iPhone and I'm thinking owls...

The naked Mantlepeice...

Now that the Christmas decorations are put away my poor dear mantle looks quite bare, not a good look.
The festive red and gold poinsettia runner and my beloved angel chimes amongst other precious things from Christmases past brought such cheer to my heart along with the roaring fire . It now looks so sad , this situation cannot be aloud to continue! Lol Something must be Made to remedy these post Yuletide blues!
I'm thinking crochet bunting or a lovely line of prayer mandala, the prerequisite Is simple.... loads of colours think rainbows and chakras! But first, I really must finish this bag, it was put away for Christmas and is nearly complete...

Blog

I once read that " only good girls keep diaries as bad girls don't have the time" I was ten and I immediately related to this statement ! I fear the same could apply to blogging if I'm not careful. I set up this blog in march 2011 as a way to record my crafty endeavours for my own amusement and have barely used it! So I have set the settings to public and now intend to make 2012 the year of the Blog! More time writing my own and less time reading other people's and lamenting that I should get my own up and going! Lol So hope you enjoy my random statements and colourful creations! Allie Cat xxx
